🤔 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a good Digital SAT score?
A “good” score depends entirely on the colleges you are applying to. Generally, a score of 1200 or higher places you in the top 75th percentile nationally, making you a strong candidate for many universities. Highly selective American colleges often look for scores above 1450.
How is the Digital SAT scored?
The Digital SAT uses a multistage adaptive testing model. Your final score (ranging from 400 to 1600) is the sum of your Reading & Writing score (200–800) and your Math score (200–800). How well you perform on the first module of a section determines the difficulty of the questions in the second module, which ultimately factors into your final scaled score.
Is the scoring scale different from the old paper SAT?
No, the College Board intentionally kept the scoring scale exactly the same. A 1300 on the Digital SAT represents the same level of academic achievement as a 1300 on the previous paper-and-pencil version of the test.
